Axie Infinity Shrugs Off Major Hack to Launch Origins Alpha

Despite a rocky week for the Ronin Network, Axie Infinity is steaming ahead with its Origin Launch. Following a minor delay as it ramps up security, the latest evolution of the P2E goliath will make way on April 7.

This massive revamp of the Axie battling platform will see upgraded art and animations arrive on the scene, as well as refined gameplay, sequential turns, runes and charms, card updates and much more. All resulting in a frenzied, hi-octane, axolotl-fighting simulation of the highest order. In the meantime, Axie has released an official gameplay teaser to get fans salivating and ready to join in the fun.

The first look at Axie Infinity Origins will be downloadable via the Mavis Hub as a desktop client. Gamers can battle immediately using their existing team of classic Axies, or get started with a complementary team for the first time ever. However, this second option will result in gameplay only, and therefore accrue no in-game rewards.

To get the blood pumping, Axie Infinity Origins will arrive in Alpha form as it looks to the community for worthy feedback. Following which the Sky Mavis team will polish its gaming mechanics and card-based bonus system, all before settling on its final incarnation, and launching officially on all platforms.

Throughout the next seven days, Axie has laid on a whole host of leeks and events to get gamers in the mood. As such, Axie fans can look forward to competitions, runes and charms unveiling and gameplay guides. Keep tabs on the Axie socials for more information.
