Benji Bananas’ ‘Benji Pass’ Sale Leverages ApeCoin to Transition to P2E

To celebrate the launch of ApeCoin, Animoca Brands is converting its popular free-to-play mobile game Benji Bananas into a play-to-earn platform. With over 50 million downloads already, players will be able to swing Benji and his monkey friends from vine to vine, all whilst earning tokens that can be swapped for ApeCoin.

Benji Bananas’ transition into a P2E setting begins with the sale of ‘First Edition Benji Bananas Membership Passes’, which will serve as NFTs that allow owners to embark on their token-earning adventure. The sale which took place on March 17th, featured a total supply of 5,000 Benji Passes, each at a price of 25 ApeCoins.

Those interested in purchasing a Benji Pass must own a MetaMask wallet that holds a sufficient amount of ApeCoin to pay for their desired number of Benji Passes, as well as the required ETH to cover gas fees.

Although a Benji Pass purchase will provide holders with the ability to earn tokens in Benji Bananas (which can be swapped for ApeCoin), the function will not come into play until Q2, and furthermore, the actual token is yet to be launched.
